Jul 5, 2009 - The 2009 Commodore’s Sailpast Reception saw the official opening of the newly renovated clubhouse “loft”. The room was packed with 60-80 people, all comfortably mingling in the new environment.

Sep 6, 2008 - From 2006 to 2008, James Brown, John Henoch, Adrien Rootsaert, Wanda Bornn and Corinne Brown formed the core of a renovation committee that courageously tackled several upgrades to our clubhouse in the kitchen, washroom and second floor areas. No one would have foreseen that this period would directly coincide with a massive housing boom that would occur in Edmonton during the same period. Working with a fixed budget and constantly fighting some wildly escalating costs, the team worked together with many other members of the club and our contractor to get the work in the kitchen and washroom areas complete, and made a good start on the upstairs renovation by widening the very narrow staircase that used to lead up to the top floor.

In 2008, Neil Dickey joined the committee and coordinated a volunteer effort to finish the outstanding items (primarily the covering of the top floor walls and ceilings).
