Apr 20, 2010 - Find attached the proposed 2010 Sailing Schedule. It contains the Officer of the Day (OD) schedule as well. The name in bold represents the senior /chief officer that day and he/she should ensure, by contacting the members of the team during the week, that all are reminded of their obligation. Also, given the number of individuals it is simply not practical to confirm everyone's personal itinerary for the season. As such please review your dates! If it doesn't work for you please feel free to switch with someone else and then contact me either by phone or preferably by e-mail to the Fleet Captain with the change. Note: simply sending a message that you are unavailable will NOT do.

Vern & Sandy Willett will be at the club, prepared to run night races, on Wednesdays, August 13, 20, and 27. The first warning signal will be at 7:00 PM, provided we get three or more racers.

As Vern and Sandy have volunteered to put on these events, please RSVP with them each week so they know who to expect (and please notify them if you subsequently cannot attend).

Saturday series club event.

The Summer Solstice is sailed on a Saturday evening close to the summer solstice, this is a 2 race event that counts towards the Saturday series.

Jun 16, 2007 - Open to all club members.

For sailors 26 and under and 40 and over. There is a separate start for the Ancient Mariners and Junior Mariners. This is an annual club event.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A 14:00 START

Jun 30, 2007 - Fun regatta of 5-7 races with the handicap ratings adjusted for the sailors' ages.

A committee created this event in 1982. The trophy was donated by Tadman Agencies.

The "modified" Portsmouth calculation formula is attached.

This cup was first awarded in 1985, when the Wabamun Sailing Club celebrated its 25th anniversary. It was sponsored by all the club's past commodores. It is competed for in two races run prior to the Commodore's Sail Past.
