Wabamun Sailing Club 1960–2010
50 years in the making and still going strong

Wabamun 50th Anniversary Book.pdf

From its humble beginnings as a group of sailing cottage owners in the 1950s, the Wabamun Sailing Club has grown to become nationally recognized for its sailors and its yachting events. And yet through all this time it has never lost touch with the grass root families who are the heart and soul of the club. In 1960 the club was started by cottage families along the east and northern shores of Lake Wabamun to learn and participate in the sport of sailing. Fifty years later, the sailing family is still the core of the organization.

Fifty years is a long time for any organization to survive. Wabamun Sailing Club has not only survived, it has thrived. In fact in 2010, it is as strong as it’s ever been.
